My 3 a.m thoughts 📝

Happiness ✨ But I don't think happiness is big, or infinite, at all. I think real happiness, true happiness, exists in the acceptance of the fact that we will always be balancing what is light and dark within ourselves. I think real happiness, true happiness, exists in the quiet. In the small things. In a morning cup of coffee, in the sound of your parents voice on the other end of the phone,in the night out with your friends,in holding hands with your favorite person,in singing to your favorite song,in holding your child for the first time,in knowing that people you love are okay, in updating your best friend with the smallest details of your day,in buying a new perfume,in using a new toothbrush,in buying new pair of socks,In submitting your work on time,in singing happy birthday to your loved ones,in rubbing your feet with the person you love,in taking a picture of your new set of manicure.in finding jeans that fit both your ass and waist,in buying a toy for your child,in testing...

I believe in the power of the unknown, the peace you find in not knowing and I strongly believe that the unknown will never hurt you and it’s  peaceful living by that rule. You reading this thinking “ but I want to know “ yes everyone wants to know but how much peace will  knowing take from you??A lot certainly. Most of the time It’s just good not knowing what is not known , like who your ex is seeing,or what your ex friend is up to on a Friday or who they are chilling with,or not knowing who your colleague is dating cos you will never look at  them the same anymore after finding out they are dating the abusive dude in town ,or they are getting married to the  man that cheated on them with the whole town, you know.but the unknowns that are peaceful are those that have to somehow do with you ,there is nothing peaceful than not knowing,it saves you from heartaches and sleepless nights.
